    Planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or other computer science related field of study and are planning to attend an accredited 4-year college or university in the United States (or an accredited 2-year college, with the intent to transfer to a 4-year institution).

    • To be eligible for this one, you need to have taken computer science or engineering classes in high school or at a college dual program, or currently be enrolled in one.
    • This opportunity is offered to support students with a notable need for financial assistance.
    • You don’t need to be a perfect student to be considered, just a student who takes their studies seriously. This one needs at least a 2.3 cumulative GPA out of a 4.0 scale, or equivalent.

    Eastman Scholarship Applications

    Eastman Technical Scholarships are intended for the purpose of attracting, recruiting, and retaining a qualified diverse workforce. These scholarships are open to all high school seniors who want to pursue a 2-year degree in Process Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical & Instrumentation, or Welding at an Eastman partner technical college. Opportunities for scholarships are through the high school partnership teams (including homeschool) and the six ERGs (Employee Resource Groups). EVETS does require that the student have a family member who is active or retired military.

    For high school seniors interested in engineering and planning to attend an Historically Black College/University (HBCU), there is a scholarship they can apply for called FOSSI. I’ve attached inform

    TASB (Texas Association of School Boards) Governance Camp Scholarship – online application

     

     

    Friday, Jan. 10, 2025 at 5 p.m.

    Five selected high school seniors will share their unique public school journeys at a special panel Friday morning, during Governance Camp. Not only will you receive a $1,500 scholarship from our sponsor, Walsh Gallegos, but you’ll also gain invaluable experience participating in discussions with community leaders. Must be available to attend and participate in the panel at the 2025 Governance Camp from March 5-8, 2025.

    Recipients will receive $1,500 in scholarship monies from our sponsor, Walsh Gallegos.

    Applicants will be updated on the status of their application no later than Wednesday, Jan. 29th.

    1. Proof of income for parent(s)/guardian(s). A Form W-2 Wage and Tax Statement OR a copy of the previous year's income tax return must be provided for each parent/guardian listed on the application.  (Please submit only pages 1-2 of the 1040/ 1040 EZ packet).

    Austin Bank Scholarship

    Austin Bank established an educational scholarship to assist high school graduates in continuing their education at a university, college, trade or vocational school.  A minimum of thirty-six scholarships will be awarded, with nine in the amount of $2,500 and 27 for $500.

    1. Students must be a graduating Senior of one of the high schools listed below to be eligible.        
    2. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4 point scale (or equivalent) to be eligible.
    3. Application form must be completed in its entirety and all supporting documents submitted to be eligible.
    4. All applications must be:
    • submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on February 21, 2025;
    • postmarked by Friday, February 21, 2025;    or
    • delivered in person to the Whitehouse Austin Bank location by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025.

    2. Tips on How to Prepare a Successful Application

    Eligibility Requirements

    1. Must attend a public, private, charter, magnet, or STEM high school located in the United States.
    2. Must be fluent in the English language.
    3. Must be in the high school graduating class.
    4. Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average.
    5. Must enroll in an eligible four-year or higher College or University the first fall semester following high school graduation. The Hagan Scholarship cannot be used to attend a community college, junior college, or online institution.
    6. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule in college, or complete the equivalent of a four year degree if in a professional program.
    7. Must work 240 hours from January 1, 2025 until September 1, 2025.  Work must be regularly scheduled employment performed under supervision for compensation. Employment can be full-time or part-time, or a combination of the two.
    8. Applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2023 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000. “Household Income” is defined as the total income received by all members of a household living under the same roof.
    9. FAFSA information is not required from  Applicants, only from Finalists in the spring of 2025.
    10. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible.
    11. Must not have a felony conviction.

    The intended recipient is a high-achieving goal-driven student having substantial financial need.
